Great flagship killer smart phones

Hello friends My self Puneet sharma.

Today I am share my review on one plus 3T

So les’t start

Since the norm is 2-page reviews, I’ll try to keep this short. As usual, I won’t reiterate the fabulous specifications of the phone. You have the specs and other reviews for that. Let’s focus on the performance instead. First of all, if you already own a OnePlus 3, DON’T UPGRADE. The improvements ( a little faster processing in the order of microseconds and 400mAh of extra battery life, along with a marginally better front cam) are too few to consider this upgrade, especially considering the price difference. This phone is called the Flagship Killer, cause it’s been introduced to take over the market of the Samsung S7 Edge ( and other variants) . Most of the comparisons I’ll be doing in this review will be against the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, which is a MUCH costlier phone, so expect a slight bias towards the OnePlus 3T. It just performs so much better or at least at par with the S7 Edge, even with such a lower price point. I won’t mention the usual features like Gorilla Glass 4 which the 3T has making it practically scratch proof.

Pros: ?

-

  1. The Snapdragon 821 is an extremely fast processor that’s utilized efficiently by the phone. It can run anything that you throw at it without breaking a sweat. It’s got an AnTuTu benchmark of 1, 61, 620. It has 6GB RAM as compared to the S7 Edge’s 4GB, which means it has more raw power! While both phones are powerful, I’ve noticed no lag whatsoever, even for a milisecond on the OnePlus 3T which is primarily due to the more impressive hardware configuration and in part due to the lighter OxygenOS. This is not always true for the S7 edge ( nothing severe, just a minor stutter or two every now and then) . The RAM management is mind blowing and I didn’t even close the apps that often, without taking a performance hit. There is a little bit heating with super resource hungry games like Asphalt 8, but none with regular day-to-day tasks.

  2. The OnePlus 3T feels every bit as premium as the S7 Edge. The design is phenomenal given the price point. However, it’s not IP68 water and dust resistant like the S7 edge.

  3. The price of this phone is the same in Indian market as it’s in American markets. This means you get a better bang for the buck ( more features) as compared to other brands’ phones at the same price.

  4. The battery will easily last an entire day, even with moderate 4G data usage. The Dash charging feature makes a phone a lot faster to charge, and I got 55% charge within 30 mins. The Dash charging shifts the power management procedures of the phone to the adapter, which means the phone never gets hot while charging! S7 Edge doesn’t have anything like this.

  5. OxygenOS with the OnePlus 3T is a dream to handle. It builds on top of the successful features of the Stock Android, and makes it better instead of clashing with it. It provides more granular control and is extremely attractive for people who might want to root their phone. However, it doesn’t have things like the edge display shortcuts and multi window support like the S7 Edge. The later will probably be fixed by Android Nougat update though, so nothing to worry about. The always-on-display on the 3T is better and more useful than that on the S7 edge, which is missing features like full notification support.

  6. The audio is much clearer on the OnePlus 3T than the S7 Edge. The performance of the headphone jack is amazing and music sound so good!

  7. The cameras are extremely good, and the selfies with the front cam look prodigious. This is especially useful as now-a-days, we might end up using the front cam more than the rear cam for apps like Skype and SnapChat. The 3T provides fantastic camera options that make it stand out from it peers. The rear cam can handle almost everything that you throw at it and come out with flying colors.

Cons: ?

-

  1. The 128GB version of the phone is not available on Amazon India ( at least I couldn’t find it at the moment) . There’s no need for a SD card with that phone. However, this is a minor con, since I’d always recommend the OnePlus 3T with a USB OTG pen drive connected, instead of the 128GB version, due to the price difference. Still, an option would’ve been nice.

  2. The S7 edge beats the 3T in terms of display - in terms of pixel saturation and the brighness. However, that’s not something that justifies the price difference, so again, this is a minor con. While the S7 Edge’s display is without a doubt better, the OnePlus 3T’s display is still a champ at 1080p, and you don’t need as dense a display as the S7 Edge’s for most tasks anyway.

  3. In daylight there’s little to no difference in the picture quality between the two phones. Even though the OnePlus 3T has more megapixels in the camera department, the real difference between the phones comes out in low-light settings, in favour of the S7 edge. The S7 edge is able to gather more light than the 3T due to the better sensor. In video recording, the S7 edge has better stabilization than the 3T. In terms of the camera, the S7 edge is the clear winner. There is also virtually no stabilization of the front cam in the OnePlus 3T, and videos come out wobbly.

Conclusion:

-

You’ve just read how well this phone does against a much more expensive phone, and more importantly against the flagship model of Samsung! Definitely go for the OnePlus 3T as I’ve yet to find a major con for this model. This phone provides the best in the essentials that truly matter, at a much lower price than the competetion. What else could you ask for? It provides a performance-to-price ratio greater than most other models. Definitely buy this if you’re looking for a dynamic, powerful mid-range phone.
