Loved this phone alot considering it just got released in Pakistan, I bought this phone for about 65k in Pakistan and it seems reasonable as its cost is 33k in india.I was a big fan of one plus since the last oneplus 3 lauched but was devistated as it wasnt available in Pakistan but now as its available I bought it and reviewed it for a while.
This phone has 2 varients which are:
1) 6gb ram with 64gb rom
2) 8gb ram with 128gb rom
I bought the 6gb ram version which costs for about 65k in Pakistan.
now before telling what I loved and what I didnt I want to share some of its specs:
This phone has a 5.5 inch optic AMOLED 1080p display(401 PPi) with corning gorilla glass 5
The body is made up of 2.5D glass from the front and Aluminum body from the sides and back
It comes with Oxygen OS 4.5.10 which is based on android nougat 7.1
CPU is snapdragon 835 octa core with 4 kyro cores clocked at 2.45GHz and 4 kyro cores clocked at 1.9GHz
GPU is Adreno 540
6/8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128GB ROM
Primary camera is equipped with a dual 16mp f/1.7 24mm and 20mp f/2.6 36mm with dual LED flash
and secondary 16mp f/2.0 20mm
Blutooth:5.0
WiFi:802.11a/b/g/n/ac
USB 2.0 Type C
Fingerprint, gyro, accelerometer, proximity and compass sensor
and with a non removeable 3300mah Li-Po Battery
The things which I loved:
Due the latest 835 processor and 6gb ram I felt no lagging or stuckness in my oneplus 5 even after heavy usage and gaming.
The camera takes crisp images with a high level of detail and sharpness.
Due to the Amoled screen the display is very crisp and nice.
The fingerprint is very fast.
Loved the Dash charge on this phone and it charges the phone to 55% in just 30 mins.
The things which I didnt like:
This phone has no IP rating for splash proof or water proof so thats a bummer considering its a flagship phone.
Addition of dual front speakers would have been nice.
No slot for an SDcard which was an issue for me.
Benchmarks:
The Oneplus 5 scored a solid 182221 points on antutu benchmarks which to me is an impressive score.
Final word:
Oneplus 5 is a great device in all aspects, its great camera, built quality and performance is the best to buy so I would definetly recommend everyone to go for this phone.
