This will explain, if you buy an Onida product, you are not sure of the quality & service . Be prepared to wait for the service guy to come & may be you will need to junk the product.
The first complaint was lodged with your consumer care center on 27/06/2010 to repair bad picture quality of the TV. I was charged Rs. 1650 , Cash Memo No: 55901 , dated 29/06/2010 for changing the IC. However there was no real change in the picture quality & I was asked to change the cable from DTH box by your service person . After doing as advised , the picture quality got progressively worse.
The second complaint was lodged on 29/07/2010 . The person came again & this time it was the transformer/power supply. I have been calling up Mr. Munniswamy 9986379570 the branch manager according to him the reasons for the delay are (1) the part is not in stock (2) The part is coming ( 3) The wrong part has come ( 4) I have sent the service person ( 5) the service person is not in office (6) I am not able to contact him (7) I will contact you & let you know .
To me it seems you are unable to service the TV set & the many poor comments on the internet about your products & service are based on real experience.
I will be going to consumer court for redressal of the issue very soon.
