Very Poor quality product; gone within a week.

Salesman convinced, we bought and the product conked even before we tried all the options!


We bought a onida black beauty 28 L after a very convincing sales talk by the shop. Even though we had decided to buy a samsung / lg, we changed our decision after the salesperson convinced us. Now I wish I hadn’t listened to him!


The product cost 11K and it conked after about less than 10 uses. We hadn’t even tried all options available yet. The service engineer comes and says that the front panel has gone and gives all kinds of reasons like power surge.( Well, we live in an apartment complex with maybe about a thousand houses, and imagine what would happen if there is such power surges!). When I mentioned nothing of that sort happened, he says’i’ll check with the company if the replacement is covered under warranty’!


I wouldn’t want to keep this product even if this was repaired under warranty; I wouldn’t know how long it would last before the panel conks again. and I wouldn’t want to waste my time following up with the service people.


for other aspects, though not relevant when the product stops working; it looks good, a bit on larger side when it comes to size; electronic display is attractive(don’t be fooled by this); menu options may be a little easier than others, but for those used to other microwaves before, may not be so useful.


follow up:


the faulty panel is replaced promptly, courtesy the follow up by the dealer. hope it lives longer this time:-)
