Bad service

My experience with Onida is very very bad... I have bought Onida DVD player DFX5990, with in a week The Batteries of the remote got discharged So I replaced them with new ones, But the new batteries also discharged in 2 days to my shock!!.. My father went to Onida service center in nungambakkam, chennai, they did repair it with in fifteen minutes, but still problem did not get fix, after a week again my father went there, they said they will replace new remote but no stock now. So asked my father to come after a week, **week later when he again went people there said no warranty for remote.*


But after some time they took the remote and asked my father to c**ome with DVD player also so that they can match remote software with Player software**. Finally while leaving service center they added.. "*Try to Call in phone and then come to service center while you come with playe*r" Is this how Onida treats its customers. This is my first onida product and it has been very very poor service.


I tried to give the feedback on service in onida’s website but site is not working properly. I have contacted through response@onida.com So onida has sent a service engineer to my house and my problem got resolved.


Since I have e-mail access my problem got resolved, but imagine if I don’t then I think I had to roam so many days to that service centre...... I have chance to go outside only in week ends but if these people do like this how can people like us get the justice. **For Every simple thing(such as remote) if we escalate to response@onida.com then what for the service centers are? our first contact should be service centers then should be head office, since I am not happy with service center I went to escalate to ONIDA Management.


Also This escalation is not available to non-internet users(pity them).


Thank god atleast I have net access and aware about sites like mouthshut.


*I have T.V(not onida) it is 8 years old not even a single problem reported but its’ remote troubled once and the service people gave a very good response, they solved problem in a quick time (within half-hour).


I am not expecting ONIDA or any other companies to give a 100% defect-less products but if at all some defects are reported why are service centers not ready to give good service....
