Living here in New Orleans, right in the French Quarter makes it hard to get around by car. My boyfriend and I both take cabs or buses when we have to go somewhere out of walking distance. That’s why I tend to Shop Online quite a bit. Well, actually quite a bit too much according to my boyfriend.(and my mom)
I found a great new site called NETGROCER.COM where I can go shopping for all my foods and toiletries and household supplies and pharmacy items(non prescription) right online! Everything is the same price, and some are lower than in the market here!
All the name brands can be found here as well. Just in the Campbell’s condensed soup list, they offer 28 different kinds of canned soup. And 18 different kinds of chunky soup as well.
In cereals, they offer big brands like, Quaker, Kelloggs, General Mills, etc.
There was also a huge selection of canned meats and vegetables, pastas and rices and condiments.
I could go all out and splurge on about 25 different kinds of cookies( YUM ) and cakes (YUM ) too.
My laundry detergent is also among the many they have to offer. And my shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste, and deodorant too!
Virtually every item that can be found in my neighborhood A & P, can be found on this site.
Naturally, there is a delivery charge(depending on the amount of groceries you purchase). But to me it works out to ba a savings! I don’t have to go to the market (YEAH), shop, stand in line and wait for a cab to pick me up. The average cab ride costs me $6.00, the average grocery delivery is about $8.00, but if you add the time I saved in there, I actually saved money. Cause in that time, I can do my laundry, clean the house, or even go shopping(NOT FOR GROCERIES!!) for myself.
It takes a couple of days for the delivery, and you can pay online by, credit card or debit card and they also offer a special check service(where they deduct from your checking account.)
You have to register (a breeze!) and if you want you sign up for that special checking option or register with your credit card or debit card.
It’s a time saver for me, and for anyone else without a car. Their service is fast, just a couple of days, and e-mails with questions are answered A.S.A.P.
It’s an overall good Online Shopping Experience!
