I bought an onsitego extended warranty along with a television from Croma since Croma only offers this companys warranty.
This was a mistake.
When, after three years of the manufacturers warranty expired, onsitego took over the warranty.
Everytime the TCL television would cause problems these are the issues I faced:
Extremely long time taken for repairs, often 15-20 days.
Approval from insurance agency would also take long.
Thenspare parts awaited would keep on showing up on their website.
Complete opacity on the nature of repairs and their estimated cost.
The engineer who would come for diagnosis would say it is this issue or that issue, but in actuality I was never told what the problem was once the television went for repairs.
The repairs were so shoddy and bad that the television would often be in a non-working condition and would simply show as a black screen when switched on. This has happened a number of times in few months, again pointing to the bad quality of repairs.
A few months before the extended warranty lapses, now the product is supposed to be in an unrepairable condition(though the engineer had said that it was a software issue).
Now onsitego is offering a paltry sum of around Rs. 7000 for a television that cost around 27000 and that also against a buy from Croma only. This shows that onsitego and croma are hand in glove to defraud the customer.
Or they are giving back the spoiled tv. Either one or the other. And it is take it or leave it.
To add salt to the wounds, their emails and messages only say that they have approved a replacement! They are not giving a replacement, however, only some money to Croma.
