In reply to Smart Girl's review....

I must admit Smart Girl that was beautifully written. Hats off to you maa’m. Well, I like what you said but I don’t totally agree with You. For if someone becomes this huge, then there has to be something.

See Smart Girl, one must admit that whatever Britney does, it is somehow more listenable than a lot of other bimbettes. And here I am talkin about the candy pop segment.

She must be giving all-the-right answers, but here I must state that all these artistes be it Backstreet Boys, Boyzone, Shania Twaine etc etc are tutored by the executives of their Record Label.

They are taught as to what to speak, how much to speak and how to speak. They are as much selling an image other than music as well.

Music in today’s time’s is as much a ’’Seeing’’ experience as it is a ’’Listening’’ experience. At many an occasion, the news of Silicon implant is deliberately hyped up for gaining attention.

Publicity, positive or negative is positive publicity. Millions are spent on just this game!

I don’t want to judge whether it is right or wrong. But, yeah, it is there. It is an era of flaunting your goods, for there’s a limited chance of being noticed otherwise.

For me the bottomline is the content, and I think she is quite credible when it comes to that. According to Noel Coward, ’’Pop music is something that amuses people.’’

And undoubtedly, the music of Britney Spears has a certain attitude which she’s judiciously selling to the burgeoning teenagers all over the world. That’s where the market is for it is a proven fact that the kids and the teenagers form the largest group of buyers of pop music.

Madonna wears a T-Shirt with Britney written on it. Pop Queen swoons over the teenager’s style and attitude. Now, Mads isn’t one of those to indulge in sycophancy of any sort. She doesn’t need to in the first place.

It definitely takes something to make one’s presence felt in the big bad world of Show Biz. And till the time the Britney magic is working, good for her. It is when her records don’t sell any more, then’s when she should go for a change of sound. Nobody wishes to let go a winning formula.

Till later Smart Girl. Keep writing, for you do it damn well.
