Ooty is a beautiful hill station located in the Nilgiri hills in Tamil nadu in India. It is a very popular and attractive place for tourists and many other people. If you love hill station but you afraid of heights then this is a perfect place for you. As this hill station is not as scary as Manali.
You can enjoy a lot of places here like Rose garden This is a very beautiful place and one of the largest rose garden in India. It has approximately 20, 000 varieties of roses.
Ooty botanical garden is spread in about 22 acres land.It has thousands of varieties of herbs, shrubs and trees. It also has a fossilized tree about 20 millions years old. This garden is full of greenery, well maintained and clean.
There are also a beautiful lake which is situated at the edge of the ooty. It is spread in 65 acres area. We were lucky as we went there in summer vacation in May. Because there is two days boating race organized in May only. We have a lot of fun there.
We also visited pykara a river which is 19 km from ooty. This river is sacred for the local people there
They believe a lot on this river.
So overall ooty is good place to visit. It doesn’t matter that you are couple or family. There is something for everyone of different age group here. I like this place. Must visit once in summer vacation.
