Hey Guys, I bought Opel Corsa 1.4 GLS in 2001 blindly trusting the german brand and it turned out to be a great car with few glitches typical of a Indian manufactured German car. I have had no problems what so ever till date and the car has performed to my satisfaction. I did not realise the greatness of this car till I drove Ikon, Accent and Esteem. Its by far the best in the category.
I wonder why GM is not rolling out a refined model of Corsa in India as I feel with few refinements this car can kill competition hands down. First thing, the 8 valve MPFI engine to be changed to a more modern 16 valve engine that will give the much needed pep to the car. Next, the dash board could have a better finish plastic something that is found in Innova. Next, a better driver/passenger seat with better recline mechanism. Last but not the least some better soft cushioning for passengers and driver on the door. Thats it, trust me this car should be the best for a long time. GM guys I hope you are listening to me.
This car on a highway at 120 KM/hr feels very very safe and has amazing control.
Whatever the limitation I am so used to this marvelous car that I don’t want to part with it ever.
