I drive an Opel Corsa 1.4 GSI and maybe this might help all those people who drive one too.
The electrics in the Corsa are rank bad, esp the ones made during the later part of 2003, I have personally experienced motor failures on all the power windows, the ignition motor and the wiper motors.
I thought that I was a unlucky customer, but one day at my local dealers workshop, I met with some Corsa owners who complained of the same, they had also experienced similar failures.
I suggest that all new owners get that extended warranty, or else may end up spending an average of Rs 4000-5000 per visit on spares and service alone.Im the victim of one such circumstance, blindly trusting that the Opel brand will not palm off such electrics on me and didnt bother to get that warranty.
But the upside to the car is that its solidly built and I have never had any problems with the engine, I drive extensively in the South and the car has never let me down.
And if you have access to Speed 93, the new high octane fuel from BP or any of the other newer fuels, try them, the city mileage increases by at least 1/2 -1 KM /ltr.
Happy motoring.
