The concept. So there is this smack addict called Nicky who, to sustain his habit sees a guy called Dr X who just happens to be a subversive revolutionary and tricks Nicky (the addict) into wiping out some important government people and lets him take the rap for it. Along the way, Nicky meets Mary, a nun who used to be a prostitute but she ends up murdered and Nicky is left alone to reflect on his past and the people who messed up his life. Queensryche actually made this a thoroughly enjoyable read ad also packed it into a 15 song EPIC (i mean this word) album. I have yet to hear a CD with such a strong finish to an album. When you are left reeling from the first 10 songs they smack you in the face with another five classics. The album ends with my all time favourite song (even now) which is Eyes of a Stranger. Queensryche even manage to top this with the live dvd they released of the full Livecrime experience. 10/5
