I was a huge fan of Orient Company due to their fans so Ive decided to buy Orient Geyser in November 2016. As soon as Ive purchased it, problems start coming in it. Booked my first geyser complaint in just few weeks/month. A technical executive visited & said, theres nothing we can do if we cant replicate the problem. He also told me to click photos as-soon-as you see leakge. That would help to replicate/understand the problem. I was not convinced but he was sounding logical so I said okay.
I was busy with other things in life and forgot to click but problem was there. In India, winter is just about 3-4 months so we ended-up using it. Next winter season, as-soon-as, we start geyser first time, same leakage start and suddenly all taps were giving electronic shock as-well. Strange. imagine, what would happen if a 4 year kid touch the tap at that time. I complaint once again and executive visited, found the lekage problem this time. He said, hell replce water tank as its busted. I was shocked that newly purchased geyser water tank busted but its ok as sometimes it happenes with electronic systems so tank changed after a day or two.
On closing of winter season, leakge start once again. I complaint third time and this time executive visited and did some jugaad by applying a polythene. I was feeling really bad and feeling like Ive purchased a local geyser instead of a orient, branded geyser. Executive also told me: "Warranty khatam hone ke ek saal tak customer khud thik krwata ha aur fir pareshaan hokar naya le leta ha. Naya geyser glass wala lena." I dont understand if company has no confidence in their water heaters then why theyre selling that product in market and thats with 2 yrs of warranty. I called customer care & told them that Im not happy with geyser and need replacement. They provided a mobile number of Mr. Raj Bhandari. I called him and brief him the problem. He said, hes unable to find any complaint and will give call within 5 mins but I didnt receive any call. I called again after few hrs on same number but number was busy. I called once again and phone ringing but he didnt respond. Finally, I decided to take social media help.
We are the customers and buying products from big companies like: orient. If they dont care about us then how will they sell their products. Customer satisfaction is also required with marketing. We can spread truth by showing actual picture of their product. Whatever happened to me, shouldnt happen to anybody.
