The worst insurer in India of course is this Oriental Insurance Company. They may have attractive plans but when it comes to claim settlement, the company will try every possible stunt on you. The staff is inexpert with little knowledge of operations and they fight on petty thing among their branches.
I have a motor insurance with this company and filed a claim 2-3 months back, . It was never settled. The company refused to settle my claim on rather strange grounds. They said they were not able to find a claim number to process my claim. I moved to IRDA and filed a complaint. I have received a 15 days wait time and hope to get this settled or I would have to move to District Consumer Forum for a lawsuit.
The company has unprofessional people and has very low ratings. Incompetent people run this organization. I wrote a complaint to the CMD of this crummy organisation just not to receive a reply to several reminders thereafter.
They dont even offer cashless facilities. Who wants this cheap service? After getting my claim settled I will certainly withdraw my policy.

I finally got my claim settled after almost a month of e-mail fight. No wonder I had to include various consumer council and state level redressal commission of govt. in my mails.
I didnt had to move to court, they were threatened to see my contacts. LOL! Mfs sent me a check wtht asking for the voucher n later mailed me to kindly sign and retrn the voucher. LOL!
