A refresing read, in a success obsessed world. Gladwell agrues that success goes along with thetime the opportunitiy is presented, he may be rightly so. The book comes across as highly researched with ancedotes and snippets from the lives and times of league football players to the leaders of 21st centurary blue chip industries and even the Beatles.
He does not however, doormat the value of hardwork and dedication. In fact, in some parts of his prose he underlines the 10, 000 hour rule, that states that greatness comes with practice, huge volumes of it.
Galdwell has well, in analyzing thespecial causes behind the greatness of the outlier, the ones above the upper control limit!
