It's Your Face - So Face It!

It doesn’t matter how old you are - it’s not too early to look after that face.

I remember when I was a teen, going to business school. The teacher said that young women shouldn’t lean their faces into their fists - it pulls the skin and makes wrinkles, she said.

It is a good idea to avoid handling your face too much - especially pulling and pinching.

If you know some good facial exercises that’s good - they won’t do you any good if you don’t do’em! You can have every issue Cosmopolitan ever put out, but if you don’t follow the advice, it won’t do you any good.

Look after your face while you’re young - keep it clean, moisturized and protect it when in the wind, sun and cold.

If you’re old - like me - let your hair grow in - you earned your grey, so wear it! But you must look after both your hair and your skin.

There are no special products - that’s not to say there aren’t any good ones; if you find something that works for you - use it! If you can’t afford it, then look at the ingredients - it may be that you can get the same thing in a cheaper brand.

Don’t pile a lot of makeup on your face! It doesn’t fool anybody - I remember when I was young, how I used to pluck all my eyebrows off, then draw new ones in - what for? I pancaked my face, mascaraed my eyelashes, lined my lids, and looked like a big phony.

Now I just wash my face and the most I wear for makeup is a bit of lipstick once in a blue moon.

And last but not least - smile! There’s worse things to have on your face than laugh lines.

There’s nothing like a smile - it’s the world’s best face lift.
