I started using oyo rooms from sept 2015. I booked a room in mcleodganj for around 1200 INR. The room was awesome, neat and clean and total paisa vasool. I liked the service as well so I decided to book from oyo next time in Naintal, the room costed me around 3200 INR for a double bed. I paid the amount using net banking. When I reached at the hotel I found the room that I booked, the same room was been offered by hotel for 2500 INR i.e 700 costly. I thought let it be, I checked in and asked for room key. The guy at reception told me that they are cleaning the room, I reached the hotel at 2PM, the check in time starts from 12PM. That means they didnt cleaned the room before my arrival. I waited for almost 1 hour for the room to get cleaned. When I reached the room, I saw the room was very small, it was not even suitable for a single person. I enquired at the reception and the guy bluntly said this is the only room available and we dont have any other room. Then I called Oyo customer care, their customer care sucks, they didnt listen to me and promised I will get a callback fro escalation team in next 15 min. I waited for 15 min to 45min but didnt got any call so I called them back and they said the same thing that I will get a callback after 15 min. I waited for another 30 min but didnt got the call. After 1 hour I got a call and the guy who was speaking from other end said he cant do anything and asked to adjust. I asked him for the refund but he denied. So I checked in at 2 PM and it took 5PM to understand OYO cant do anything and I was left with no other option to stay in the same room.
I came back home, I posted the same issue on twitter and facebook and got call from their escalations team in 30 min of posting my issue and also they refunded half money i.e 1600 INR.
Over a period of time their service are degrading day by day and they are not providing a good service. I would highly recommend to look for some other hotel before booking any rooms from Oyo.
