With a twisted view of the original story [the book by Cecilia Ahern] P.S I love you is a try to make magic on the screen. But a failed one.
With a star studed cast, the movie might be able to cover costs but honestly if you have read the book it is disapointing. The movie runs in all directions with an indicisive vision.
Holly [Hilliary Swank] could not grasp her character and is shown with an unattractive monkey fringe, just adds to the immaturity of her character. Where as Gerry [Gerad Butler] does his part amazingly, getting humour across wonderfully and his accent is quite the treat! Lisa Kudrow [Pheobe of F.R.I.E.N.D.S] has also performed well but at parts she is unable to deliever the funny liners. Where as Hollys bestfriend Sharon has been played by not a very well known actress and disturbs the significance of the character.
On the otherhand to the average movie buff, P.S I love you maybe a time killer and a good popcorn feed. So its worth a try, personal preference is key in the movie- you just like it or you dont.
Its about moving on with the help of friends, family, love and letters.
