Its truly said that a Genius is only born once & the name is Mr Amitabh Bachchan. What an actor.!
To begin with I must congratulate R Balki for creating such a wonderful plot & then executing it to near perfection.
Beginning with the star cast.Vidya Balan as the single mother nurturing an abnormal child gave a real restrained performance.She has again proved why she has been the choice for many directors involved in making serious Cinema. Her Scenes with Auro really blended a new definition to motherhood.
Abhishek Bachchan as the coolest young politician. I felt he was a bit nervous in few scenes otherwise not bad(Rahul Gandhi must be proud of the Character).
Auros BUM.i am sorry I dont know her name but she has given an implausible performance much to the likes of yesteryears favourite character artists.Sulbha deshpande & Rohini Hattangadi.
Paresh Rawal.although not much to do.but played his part well.
There are no two ways about it that Auro was the Show Stopper.To my belief.One of the most intriguing performance by Mr Bachchan.after the intensity he showed in BLACK.
Music.by the maestro himself.Illayaraja.’Gum Sum Gum’ is my favourite(had the flavour of his early 90’s hit ANJALI).
Direction.I suppose.Balki concentrated on Auro so much that there were few glitches in abhishek’s portrayal.The episode of him exposing himself on a national channel to make media aware of its resposibilities & uplift the so called social cause of slum development was somewhat childish.(Bad IDEA Sir).
Progeria the rare genetic disorder explored in this film has been dealt in a much apt manner.neither it has been highlighted or embarked upon nor subdued & at the same time making the common people aware of the disease.
Auro.u cant just stop talking about him.His funny anecdotes, the husky voice, his feelings, his dance, His friends(Vishnu-surprise package).a real treat for cinema lovers.
Go for it guys.a real emotional masterpiece.(dont forget to carry couple of handkerchiefs).
