Paatal Lok is a hindi crime thriller series on Amazon Prime Video and stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Gul Panag, Abhishek Banerjee and others. It’s a nine episode long tightly knit series grasping in a very subtle way the roots of crime, political, communal and casteism India. It is based on a novel The Story of My Assassin’s by Tarun Tejpal.
The story revolves around a cop ( Jaideep Ahlawat) who is shown to have a nothing special in his life and career, and then there comes a day when he gets a case and a trail of events and his quest for truth lands him in the underground dirty crime world the Paatal Lok.
The story flows perfectly, the dialogues are well written with a pinch of humour every now and then keeping the thrill alive, all the characters have performed amazing and they’ve been depicted very accurately bringing in a whole gush of diversity in every scene in a very subtle way. Jaideep Ahlawat and Abhishek Banerjee’s performance are a must watch in this.
Overall this a very good series and totally worth binging and spending your every minute.
