Hi friends
here I want to share my expericence of 6 day trip to pachmarhi.
but before that I want praise the people of pachmari ( well this is the main reason I m writing this reviews)
In pachmari use of polythene is prohibited and the most heartening thing is this that almost 100 % people there, are obeying this law.
hats off to all pachmari residents.
so this review is dadicated to all pachmari residents
well here r my pachmari experiences
i will try my best to give u best knowledge for ur trip planning.
it was a family trip(family of 4) and we r living in indore.
when we decided to go to pachmari we were not having any idea about hotel booking and we didnt wanted to take chances with that (as my parents have problems in searching hotels!!!!) so we prebooked the hotel from MP toursim deparment.
HOTELS after booking the hotel we never expected a quick response frm MP tourism but we were shocked when they called us the very next day.
u can book hotels frm the site https://mptourism.com. all these hotels listed there are govt hotels. there are many other private hotels but there info aint available on net.
the hotels rents ranges frm 250 (a guide told me) to 3500 rs.
any way we booked the cottages & huts intead of Hotel as I like them more.
that was PANCHVATI cottages and huts. we booked two huts (one hut is for two and one cottage I sfor 4 person) and its rent was 890 rs per hut.
all info about mp tourism hotels is available on there site stated above.
HOW TO REACH THERE pachmari is 380 kms frm indore so we decided to go by our persanal car.
the whole road is fabulus and I think its the only good maintained road in MP :)
u can also reach there by BUS as MP tourism is offering that service frm all major cities. even some AC buses.
the nearst RAILWAY station is PIPARRIYA 40 km away frm pachmari. frm there u can have bus or taxi.
the nearst AIRPORT is BHOPAL 180 km away frm pachmari
WHAT TO SEE there are many waterfalls and trekking places(not real trekking) but its not advisable to visit all. the PACHMARI guide enlist too many places and arent necessary.
the main places are
arre ruko bhai ek min the bollywood film ASHOK was shooted here in pachmari
1 B falls a beautiful water fall which really seems to be a deserving view as the path aint easy.(not for me as I m quite atheltic but it took 1/2 hr to go down and 1 hr
to travel back up by my parents for about 300 m of trekking type ladders!!!!!!!)
any way thats a must place to see and DONT FORGET TO TAKE TOWELS AND UNDERGARMENTS WITH U as thats a perfect place to bath under waterfall.
u cant reach there by ur own vehicle untill and unless u have a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
u can hire gypsy there for 200 rs.( as on 21-25 june)
- Rajat Prapat/Apsara Vihar hey have u seen ASHOK?do u remember the scene in which Shahrukh jumps into a pool(sorrounded by rocks) behind kareena. well thats Apsara Vihar. near to Apsara Vihar there is rajat waterfall which is another waterfall about 300 feet high.
same story here that a 4 wheel drive vehicle is needed.
- Duchess Falls here u will have to walk for about 4 kms to reach the fall.
hey THIS FALLs ENTRY CLOSES AT ABOUT 3 PM so plan accordingly.
- Dhoopgarh A very popular spot for viewing sunsets. The highest point in the Satpura range.
plz note that these 4 places have entry fees of rs 100 (entry) + 40 (camera) and more for handicam and more for personal vehicle. u have to go to BISEN LODGE to get the recipt for these places that allow u to visit these and as checked everywhere u need to keep it carefully.
u can get a gipsy hired frm this point for 600 rs that will take u to all the 4 stated places in a day.
apart frm these places the other places are Mahadeo, Chhota Mahadeo, Pandav Caves, Jata Shankar, Chauragarh.
those willing to go to Chauragarh have to be athletic as u have to do 4 km walk(trekking type) plus only only 1360 ladder :)
the best season to visit PACHMARI is summer ofcourse and plz do book a hotel b4 if goin in summer.
thats al friends
hopefully I have helped u
