Dear all:Train travel always fascinates me and I went several places like all you guys to differnt parts of this beautiful country.I travelled most when I was in engineering school which was out of my state and only way I could reach home by train. Looking at my monkey attitudes at food(all food tastes good to me), I have decided that packing of food and then opening at a fixed time in train is nothing but testing my patience and judgement. When I was in school and while going home during winter and summer vaccation, I used to give our hostel cook several rupees to make some food for me to take in train. As he knows my appetite, he will make around 15 puris and some potato fries and put them in a polyethylen bags for the dinner. I will buy some sweets before I get down at platform thinking about only when I will sit down to eat. Any mistakes on my part or late of train timing will rationilize me to eat without any guilt. Most of times I ate all the food for dinner in platform it self even long before entering to train to start the journey. And in night, as usual, I ate the dinner inside the train. Aaain the same thing repeated, when I came from home. My friends and relatives who came to train station to say good bye always buy me some food because I eat my home cooked food and drink several glass of water from the platform before any good bye was exchanged. I only got stomach trouble once when I was in hostel and I was in terrible pain. Although I complete forgot the pain in few day, the worst thing happened to me and of course which made other hostel guys very happy. Yes sir! I lost interest in food. The only thing which I used to crave all the times and the only reason to get up in moring gone away from my mind. Only two puris were enough for my breakfast and when this shameful things my brother heard, he immeidately jumped to experiment on me. I will share his successful experiment with all of you and you can take this secret from me and live long to enjoy all sorts of food. My brother gave me a short speech that I am a true legend of enjoying and digesting all good and bad food. So I must be cured fully otherwise all the half good foods will be thrown out. He went to market and came back with a dozen of green lemon. He squeezed lemon in water and with a little salt administerd the mother of all cure stomach troubles. Believe it or not, my gastric juice became recharged and again I came back to monkey business in less than two days. But I learned the lesson and still use it every day. If you travelling whereever, take food with you if you can resist to keep until dinner time. However, take some cut lemons and put them in a small plastic bag. Now you can buy like me any hot food(food should be served hot) and then squeeze some lemon juice over it. The chemistry is now changed. All bad micro-organisms are gone for good and you got the wholesome food with nice lemon appetizing tastes. Fill the water in your bottle from platform and squeeze a slice of lemon again. Unless some dirt floating there, water is again purified and completely drinkable. All your travelling nausea will be gone and you will feel so much refreshed. My brother and I did this experiment and never got sick even for a day for many many years. My brother even not throw those squeezed lemon slices immediately. He rubs them in his armpits and consider them as the best natural deodrant during train travelling. It is up to you guys whether you all will smell like my brother, but listen me and listen good. Take lemons and eat and drink in the trains. Taking home cooked food is only good for platform and never to be used in side the train. That is only applicable to wimpy guys. For other adventurous and challenging guys, lemon is your shield to weed out any known/unknown travell realted stomach upsets.
