Akshay Kumar surprised his fans recently when he decided to prepone the release date of Padman from April to January. A week ago, Bollywood’s Khiladi Kumar took to Twitter to announce the release date of Padman - January 26, 2018. And soon hashtag #AkshayvsAkshay started trending since Kumar’s another film 2.0 is set to release on January 25, 2018.
With his new development, rumours of Rajinkanth and Akshay-starrer being pushed to April spread like wildfire. Buzz has it that with CGI work in progress, 2.0 might not be able to meet the deadline. However, a source from Lyca production( 2.0) rubbished the rumours and said that they are very much releasing the film on Jan 25.
With so much confusion around this big box-office clash, Akshay decided to clear the air himself. In an interview to Mid-Day, the 50-year-old actor said, There is a lot of false information that is being circulated over both films releasing on the same day. Why would I clash with my own film? It will be either Padman or 2.0.
