Plot -
The story is based on a Sufi poem written by Malik Mohammad Jayasi in 1540. The core of the movie revolves around Rani Padmaavati(Deepika Padukone) who was the wife of Maharawal Ratan Singh(Shahid Kapoor) and is known for her beauty during 13th centuary in India. During this time a tyrant name Alauddin Khilji(Ranveer Singh) caught the wind about Rani Padmaavati and because of his obsession with having all the unique things to himself, he is ready to to any lengths to gain her control over Padmaavati. So will he be able to get his hands on her or Maharan Rawal Ratan Singh will stop him?
Performance and Cast -
Deepika as Rani Padmaavati has done a commendable job and was truly awesome with her performance. Shahid Kapoor was great too with his character also but the lime light was taken by Alauddin Khilji played by Ranveer Singh a blockbuster performance. Direction by Sanjay Leela Bhansali was great as he has added some of his own flavor to the story.
Music and Cinematography -
Music by Sanchit Balhara was great. Cinematography by Sudeep Chatarjee was an awesome job especially the scenes in the jungle and Maharawal’s Raj Darbar.
Bottom line the movie is fully entertainment packed and a must watch to go for a cinemahall.
