Among Padmaavat’s problems, is the way Ranveer’s character is written. He is often compared to the ’Yamraj’ from whom ’Savitri’ gets her husband back. He eats like an animal and fornicates like a beast. Bhansali uses Khilji’s character to fiercely prove that his words have value. That Padmaavat, at the end of the day, is only about showing everything that’s bad about these Muslim heathens and everything that’s good about the Suryavanshi Rajputs. Paddmavat movie making sense is very good.
