From the techinal point of view, the film is an extraordianary work of artistic opulence, a magnificient visual extravaganza that will leave you speechless. Hats off to the master Sanjay Leela Bhansali for that.
As far as the story is concerned, its a perfect tribute to the valour and bravery of the Rajputs. The climax scene of Jauhar is heart wrenching yet mesmerising. The performances are superlative. Ranveer Singhs display of uninhabited flamboyant energy with beastlike brutality will make you admire and hate him simultaneously. Deepike Padukones heavenly beauty with her glorified screen presence makes her look like a Goddess in every scene. Shahid Kapoor appeared a true Rajput king through his mannerisms and dialouge delivery. The only setback about the film is the war scene. In comparison to the colossal canvass the film is set in, it was expected to be huge but turned out to be quite insipid.
Nevertheless its a must watch film for every Indian.
