Directionless and Avoidable

My friend compelled me to watch this movie as she is an ardent SRK fan. I was a bit hesitant becuase I was not getting good reviews for this movie. And when we entered into the hall the real trauma started of watching this highly confused, directionless and no philosophy movie.

The strength of Parineeta, is the weakness of Paheli, The Story and Screenplay.

Paheli is based on a story by Duttare, which was in actual ’’Duvidha’’. This man is not so celebrated story writer, and after watching Paheli, I became sure about his capabilities, where the author is confused about the philosophy of life, and without any reasoning and logic, inderectly but strongly endorses liasons and infidelity.

In short Paheli has no strength in story and short os substance, ends as another betrayal story, told in very smooth ellusive manner.

Story and screenplay is the biggest let down:

Bankruptcy of thoughts and turmoiled philosphy over relationships, these two points flash the highest when you go through the psychology of the author as well as the peoples who selected this script. On the name of creativity how much peoples are fooled, it is clear with this story and movie. It’s like following:

Lachchi(Rani) has just married to Kishen(SRK), and while she is on the way of sasural, the cart and baraat stops at a bauli near a banyan tree on which a ghost stays. As the ghost sees this girl, he feels in love at first sight. Back home after one day the husband had to go to abroad for business purpose for coming 5 years. As soon as the ghost knows this he comes in husband look while husband leavs the house. But with his entry he tells the truth to Lachchi( within 10-15 minutes of startup of the movie!), and Lachchi accepts the Bhoot over her husband without having a blink over his situation condition etc, , ..(.and all these s*it logics have been given and told very emotionaly to make us fool). Now the rest of the 2 hrs of the 2:20 hours shows the time how the Ghost past with lachchi till her husband returns abck and finds that his wife is pregent and he is being called bahurupiya. Finally the things are sorted out as the bhoot enters the body of husband himslef and keeps on staying with wife! greta logic.

This movie has hijacked the concepts and logics of typical Mithun movies. If you are still willing to watch this movie, kindly put your brain as well as heart back at home. There are so many pot holes in this movie which is better to be left uncounted

Performance: When you get such a dead story, the performers are left with nothing much. Rani was ok. There is nothing great of Ghost roles SRK was playing as you can simply take it as playing a role of a man fallen in liason. I don’t know why the author took specially the ghost. Simply to collect the sympathy and collect more nodes for infidelity is acceptable in society and can be seen as love? Is the true love is such selfish that you kill the feelings and love of tohers without thinking about another person? what was the fault of the husband. he too loved her so much and still managed to stay pure far away. If he should have taken his wif’s logic, he too could have been involved in some liason much easily than wife. Is this the proper way to rise feminist liberation or simply a pseudointellectual approach?

The only 2 performers who kept such a dull movie with any bit of lusture were: Rajpal Yadav as the messenger and Anupam Kher as a greedy dad, if performance is concerned! regarding amitabh Bachchan he is hardly there for 5/7 minutes who solves the paheli, and I beg him to stop doing such small cameo and instead take the full film. No need to oblige friends! ratna pathak and Naseeruddin Shah were irritating.

Songs: Songs and only Songs. Paheli is lesser the movie more a chitrahaar, a series of songs. And songs which are only forgettable except two: Kangana re and puppet song.

Techies: The strongest fort of the movie. Visuals, dressing and the rajasthani coverage were the real treats. It was amazing and really brilliant. I will give full marks on this and if you have got any reason to watch this movie according to me it’s just the visual treatment techies sound, and Rajpal and Anupam Kher. I must say again visuals were breathtaking and simply superb.

Director was direction less so the movie too

Amol palekar. I liked this man. His earlier made movies too. But he would become so bakrupt of philosophy and taste, I had never thought. On the average he did ok job. But as I told you when you pick up such nonsense story no one can do justice including the director.

Final words:

ne side you watch such a complete movie like Parineeta, where story too is at equal par with others in strength, and with ethical philosphy and sound logics. paheli is simply a sick movie with sick philosophy confused mentality and loopholed logics. Just it’s visuals and forced emotions( which are unable to act too and instead irritates you), which have tried to cover such a big Blunder in SRK carrier called Paheli. My friend who had compelled me to watch this movie was too ashamed of his hero’s selection that he to abused the whole crew at length including SRK after coming out of movie hall, after so much stressfull weekend.

Those who have been giving this movie more than 2 stars need to think again that on which ground they have recommended or given such a junk movie.

I personally recommend peoples to avoid this movie and go for Parineeta if not watched or wait for Sarkar for next week. Paheli is directionless.
