so many times I visited Plani. In this situation I will explain my own experience about Palani.
Plani is situated in Tamilnadu(Dindigul Dt.) is the family god for all Tamil people. Temple is situated in upper Hills area. We can reach the temple wide Steps or Rope-Car. In their we can find excellent Statue of St. Murugan in a beautiful way! According to History, Lord Muruga came here & stayed here only.
Near by Palani Kodaikanal is the excellent Sightseeing place. Its the second Hill station in Tamilnadu. From Palani we can reach their within one hour. So we can see palani temple & Kodaikanal also.
Lot of free & paid accomodation in Palani. charges are nominal only. So we can stay there easily.
There is no doubt about safety measures. Its a good & calm place.
