If you want to an underground marketing, Palika Bazar is a suitable place for you. It is underground fully AC circularly arrayed market, with about six entrance/ exits beneath a park over it. It is centrally located near Rajiv Chowk Metro Station in Conought Place(CP), New Delhi and easily approachable by Metro, Buses/taxi or by own vehicle. It is very popular place for window shopping. It is must visit market for who come to CP. We generally go the market just for wandering and not for purchasing. Most of the people mainly prefer roaming in the market rather than interested in purchasing.
Image of the market is not good as it is infamous for its low quality fake and duplicate items of renowned brands. All kind of apparels, shoes electronics and fancy items are sold in it. There is a huge scope of bargaining as the price quoted by the shopkeepers more than twice or thrice than the genuine price. If you are not expert, you are bound to be cheated. Police has many time raided the market to seize the fake products.
I have once been cheated in purchasing of a pair of shirt and jeans in this market when I was unaware of the character of the market. Shopkeepers behave like touts and muscleman and quarrelsome. Since then I never purchased anything from here and advice all the visitor not to purchase unless or otherwise you are sure of quality and price.
