Palmolive belongs to the Old Boys Club of Corporate dinosaurs still practising inhumane animal testing such as the LD-50 test, and Draize test.
I cant possibly agree to review such a product itself, because to do that I would have to spend money supporting them by purchasing the product which goes against my moral.
Here is what I can tell you about the tests they do on animals though so that you can make a decision yourself about buying the product which this IS about!
In case your arent familiar with this test I will explain.
The two most common animal tests still widely in use today are the Draize Test and the Lethal Dose 50% (LD-50) Test. The Draize test attempts to assess the hazards of chemicals by observing the damage they cause to animals skin and eyes. This damage is observed by applying these chemicals directly on the animals skin or directly in their eyes, causing irreparable damage to the animal, burning the skin until it peels off, and pouring strong chemical solutions into their eyes blinding them.
The LD-50 test is used to measure acute toxicity levels of certain ingredients. The LD-50 value is the amount or concentration of a substance that kills half a group of test animals within a specified time when that substance is forcibly ingested, inhaled, or otherwise exposed to an animal. Whats more, lab animals are ultimately killed when they have lost their utility to these inhumane companies. They use cats, dogs, rats, mice, guinea pigs and monkeys. Millions of animals suffer this type of cruel and unnecessary death each year.
What can you do to put an end to animal testing?
Boycott products that still use these inhumane flat world methods of research!
Use products that are against animal testing, such as The Body Shop, or Toms of Maine.
Good hair care and cruelty to animals do not need to be associated to make good products for the consumers.
When you think about what you spend your money on remember that it makes a difference to the industries on what you are willing to support or not support.
By saying no to products such as Palmolive, Colgate, and Proctor and Gamble you help to send them a message that animal cruelty is unacceptable, and you help to build a better future for our children!
