I was gifted with a Panasonic LCD in 2011 by my brother. I used this Panasonic LCD TV in Goa at my work place. Since 2011 it was all OK. No problem was there.
But in 2016 I observed some hazy area on screen, it was looking like any water droplet accumulated inside that screen. I contacted customer service. They send their mechanic after two days. Mechanic told me to take motherboard of that LCD with him and he will send that to Panasonic company. Then that mechanic went with the motherboard for repairing.
After 13 days he came and attached that motherboard in my LCD. It was all OK. Problem was resolved. It was charged around Rs. 1080/- approximately.
But after two months again the same problem had started. Same thing I did, contacted customer care. Same mechanic came and took the motherboard with him and returned the same after 10 days. After fitted it was all OK at that time also. I inquired him if there is any Panasonic outlet so that I can exchange that LCD with a new LED. He told me that company replaced one part in Motherboard and it has one year warranty. If I exchange my LCD then no extra benefit will be there and also I would get loss.
After three month I had got severe problem with this LCD. It was like when I was watching my TV suddenly aHooshshhhhh sound would be there and the TV got switched off automatically. I could not on the TV immediately, and after 02 to 03 hours when I switched on the TV it would be without any AUDIO. Same I called Customer Service. This time some other mechanic came. He inspected and told me that this TV could not be repaired as it would cost huge. I have to change certain thing inside motherboard and Audio car also. Nearly it cost Rs. 12000/-. It was disgusting. No warranty could not be claimed for that defect also.
I then did not allowed that mechanic to replace that circuit, and let him go. Next day I took that TV to a local TV servicing center. They rectified the defect and repaired it with only Rs. 1100/- approximately.
Although again that TV became unserviceable after six months again.
Overall I am not happy with the servicing strategy of Panasonic. Although quality of Picture was up to satisfactory and Audio was good.
Overall I would give 50 percent to Panasonic for their LCD TV. It was satisfactory level, not excellent.
