Review : Hi friends, I bought this Panasonic GD68 from secondhand market, merely by looking at its looks (its really cool). Once I switched it on, wow! it starts with a beautiful animation showing PANASONIC.
It has excellent coverage in Chennai(Airtel). No tower problems. The joystick type navigation is the one I like most in this model. It is pretty easy to handle. I tried to change the panel, but the problem started there. I immediately after changing the panel, the phone started to switch off byitself, the calls get dropped suddenly, the phone crashes often.
I immediately changed it back to the original one and now I have a new problem. That is the mic clarity become too poor that the one at the opposite end is not able to hear my voice. I tried changing the mic with the new one and still its not working.
My sincere advice for all the GD68 owners is to keep the phone in ’’as it is ’’ condition without trying to change panel, battery, etc and even if u do, rely only on the original accesories. The phone has GPRS with which u can download ringtones, wallpapers, etc (in my place hutch & Airtel provide the service). If u want a phone with decent performance go for it.
