Driving Down The Road In Daddy's Truck!

Recently when the new Grandbaby and his mother were here, I had to borrow my father’s truck because the children took my blazer for the week to go to their father’s. And my father’s truck doesn’t have a cd player. But my 16-year-old has a portable cd player that I used in his truck so I could listen to my cd’s.

The Product

Panasonic SL-SX282-X Car/Portable CD Player with wireless remote. It is silver in color with black around the dials. There is a small window that allows you to see which track is being played.

There are two other dial areas as well, one for starting and stopping, advancing to the next track and the up/down volume control with memory control. The three dials are found on the top left hand corner of the unit and are very easy to use while going down the road! And it opens from the front, which you simply slide to the open position and the lid pops up for easy loading and unloading and it’s one cd at a time.

There are headphones, so that I can’t hear it when my daughter uses it. And it does plug into a cigarette ligther. The cassette goes into any cassette player in a vehicle. Requires 2 double a batteries.

About Panasonic

Panasonic had a vision for the future with their “digital driven minds”, and by the needs of customers and consumers all over the world. They wanted to provide a way in life to look smarter, work smarter and with all the technological advances that the world had to offer. And I suppose that they have done that very well over the years.

In 1918 a man named Konosuke Matsushita began a journey by inventing a two socket light fixture. It was a very simple, yet elegant design. His breakthrough led to what is now one of the world’s largest electronic companies. He built Matsushita Electric Industrial Company and he never lost sight of the importance of putting the needs of the public first.

Panasonic’s standards are still firmly grounded in the philosophy of Konosuke Matsushita. And Panasonic will continue its Customer First tradition of creating new products that resolve the challenges in business and personal life, helping us all enjoy more of what life has to offer. And they offer us consumers a lot of choices in life! VCR’s, radios, tapes, movies, stereos and so much more.

Did you know that the name Panasonic is synonymous with innovation, quality, performance and ease of use? I didn’t know that either!

”Panasonic is much more than a well-known brand name. It stands for the depth and diversity of our research capabilities, manufacturing expertise and product selection. It stands for the advanced technology of products, from easy-to-use consumer goods to sophisticated medical, broadcast, business and industrial systems.

More importantly, Panasonic stands for a commitment to quality, value and innovation. In North America, this commitment is backed up by employees working in research and development centers from California’s Silicon Valley to Video Valley in New Jersey, state-of-the-art manufacturing plants, one of the country’s largest customer call centers in Virginia and sales and service organizations that deal with the public and business-to-business relationships in nearly every state. In all of our dealings, the customer is always first.

This was our bedrock philosophy through the 20th century and it will carry us through the 21st century.” The paperwork says!

How I Feel

This little contraption is rather neat! It was so very easy to use as well! All I had to do was to put the cassette part into the cassette player of the truck and plug up the CD player to the cigarette lighter, put in a cd and turn on the player and listen! That’s it! I could hear through the truck speakers and life was good while driving down the road.

Both the cassette tape and the lighter plug fit securely in their little slots on the player and the cords are long enough to use without getting in your way. I liked that part a lot!

The cords allow Erica to sit in the back of the blazer and listen to her own music with the earphones without really bothering my husband and myself in the front. The only thing really wrong is that she turns it to loud!

When I use it I am able to lay the unit on the seat beside me and control it with the wireless remote, which is really cool! The remote is slim, silver in color, coordinates with the CD Player and very easy to use. It doesn’t look bad either!

And I can lay the long cords on the floorboard so they will not be in the way. Of course, you do need to be careful of the cords so that they are not on the drivers side where they can get in the way of your feet while driving. And you want to make sure if you have a passenger that the cords is not in their way either. I am so very glad that I had this player to use in my father’s truck.

I just don’t see why cars and trucks are even made any more with out a CD Player of their own. I suppose so that units like this can be bought. And speaking of buying, my daughters father paid 69.96 for this at Wal Mart. You can also buy the unit online at various online stores and auction places as well as various stores. So shop around for the best price.

There is also a register card that you will need to fill out to send in for your limit warranty. Please be sure and read all of this information and put it in a safe place at home.

It has brought great joy to us all and I can also use it in my husbands truck and practice my songs for church or listen to all of my other music and life will stay good!

I hope that this has helped in some kind of way.

God Bless!
