Disappointed with Panasonic

I bought the Panasonic SR-WA22H rice cooker thinking it will make my cooking easy, but honestly, I’m not happy with it. For the price, I expected better performance and quality. After using it for some weeks, I feel this rice cooker is not worth the money.

First of all, the build quality is not so good. It looks decent from outside, but the material feels cheap and light. The lid is very basic and doesn’t lock properly. The cooking pot inside is not non-stick, so rice often sticks at the bottom and gets burnt. Cleaning

becomes hard because of that.

The main problem is with the cooking performance. It either overcooks or undercooks the rice. I followed all the instructions, tried different water levels, but still the rice doesn’t come out perfect. Sometimes it stays hard in the middle, and sometimes it becomes too mushy. What’s the use of a rice cooker if it can’t cook rice properly?

Also, this cooker has a very basic design. It doesn’t have features like warm mode for long time, timer, or auto shut-off. It just switches to warm mode quickly, even when rice is not fully cooked. You have to keep checking again and again, which defeats the purpose of "automatic" cooking.

Another big issue is that the warm function is not reliable. It doesn’t keep the rice warm for long, and sometimes even dries it out. I had guests once and served rice from it — it was hard and cold even after using warm mode. That was very disappointing.

The power cord is short, and it’s not flexible to place the cooker easily on the kitchen counter. Also, the included accessories like the spatula and measuring cup are of poor quality. They feel like cheap plastic and not durable at all.

Overall, I regret buying the Panasonic SR-WA22H. There are many better options in the market in this price range with better features, non-stick coating, and more reliable cooking. I expected more from a brand like Panasonic, but this product really failed my expectations.

I wouldn’t recommend this rice cooker, especially for regular use. It may work for small needs, but not for a family. Better to spend a little more and buy something more reliable.
