Panipat is the story of one of the most important chapers of history. The year is1760. The Marathas under Sadashivrao Bhau ( Arjun Kapoor) finally annexe the Udgiri Fort in present-day southeren Maharashtra thereby finish the Nizamahahi rule of good.
Panipat begins on a fair note with the scene of the Udgiri Fort annexation. The film then falls a bit as the focus shifts to the politics happening wihtin Shaniwar Wada, Pune. Also, the romantic trak of Sadashicparvati Bai is decent but nothing extraordinaty. The entry of Abdali is quite interesting and it enchances interest.
Panipat, however, has two villains, and none of them is Abdali. It is language and history. Ranveer's Bajirao had a Marathi twang that the actor honed
It is not possible to go out and say the Marathas won the Third Battle of Panipat yet, but soon, maybe.
And we can say that Gowariker's Panipat becomes a happy ending film.
