Panipat movie is less dramatic and well researched historic film directed by great director ashutosh gowarikar. It's a visual and cinematography treat for man who love historic movies. Ashutosh is famous for character building. He take lot of time for that. It can be disadvantage because it increases length of cinema. Pace of the cinema is also slow like lagan, swadesh and jodha akbar. Those who love masala films like dabang, bahubali, housefull or bajirao mastani will feel little bored during first half. 50% time of first half of the cinema is focused on rommance and love story of "Sadashiv bhau"and "parvatibai".
2nd half of film is exciting. Maratha force start it expedition of north. How they gather resources. How they creat alliances. How they won Delhi. Kunjpura. Everything is shows in 2nd half. War scene are superb. Less vfx and more reality they have shown. Ibrahim khan gardis cannon strength is visual treat. Observe the scene in which Maratha breaks mahadwar of red fort. It was fantastic scene. Operations of cannons was thrilling. After capturing Delhi they have shown celebration of Maratha force. Man me shiva song remember chhatrapati shivaji maharaj and his hard work. Finally Maratha force captured Delhi which was dream of bajirao and great shivaji.
In last few scenes Arjun did his best. His dialogues like "mein is dharti ki mitti ke ek ek kad ke liye bhi marne ko taiyaar hu "will be remembered in the heart of every Maratha for lifetime.
This movie is not for entertainment but also for understanding our great Indian history. Must watch for everyone to understand Maratha history this film is far ahead of typical Bollywood paisa wassol masala film. Gowarikar has rocked it again.
