Well, I had called the hospital yesterday to taker an appointment with Dr. Sanjeev Chaudhry for consultation for my father (Mr.D P Joshi - whos 79 years old) , and was asked to come in at 10.15, I reached, and registered (charges being 100-) and paid the consultation charges (600-) and was asked to speak to the nursing station....where I was told that the doctor has proceeded for a meeting with the MD of the hospital, and it could take upto 2-3 hours, before he comes in, and I was welcome to wait.....or meet Dr.Bharat....now if I had wanted to consult Dr. Bharat, then I would have taken an appointment to meet him, after me 2 more patients came in, for Dr. Chaudhry, who were told the same thing, 1 of them made a noise, and so, the supervisor, came and requested them to have breakfast/coffee, and they were told that possibly Dr. Chaudhry will be back in half an hour.
Couple of questions here -
Why does a doctor have to proceed for a meeting during OPD hours, knowing that he has appointments booked for him? Are the patients not important enough to be met....more than the MD???
I asked for a refund, as I did not want to consult Bharat, and was refunded 600(???) and not 700...while 100- bucks really doesnt make a difference to anyones life, but gosh...what a scam!!! for walking into the hospital, one needs to pay 100- bucks????? This is so damn shocking!!!!
Does the MD (who I believe is s doctor too) not sensitive to the OPD patient requirements
The above have just reinforced my belief about how hospitals are out to make money off you, no matter how !!!
