The most awesome trips I have ever had was the one taken to paris. one of the most beautiful cities in the world and also one of the most romantic.
it was my summer holidays of 2000 and the plan was suddenly made. we were to go there and celebrate my mom and dad’s 25th anniversary. when we reached there it was raining abit and it started getting cold. we were staying 10 minutes away from the Eiffel Tower and you coul easily see it from our hotel. my dad had also gone there for his official work. so it was a business and pleasure trip in one for him but for us it was all in all a pleasure trip.
we were so excited about coming to paris that as soon as we reached the hotel we unpacked and ran out of the hotel to go for a walk to Eiffel Tower. we clicked snaps, ate and then finally when we were tired returned back to our hotel.
we had chalked out our plan for the whole stay and were very excited.
the next day we went to Sha Elize which is a street where all the brands like Versace, etc. have thier stores. it also had the on the street cafe’s which are shown in movies. we walked around the whole day and saw a lot shops but dint shop as it is one of the most expensive cities in the world. we saw alot of models on that street and they say that during the spring time they have this parade over there, where all the top designers show their spring collection. they have a kind of open air fashion show (because as everyone knows Paris is the fashion capital o the World).
the same day we also went to the place where Princess Diana had, had her accident and wrote a note in her memory on the wall where others who had come before us had done the same.
the next day we went to the Museum Luever where the Mona Lisa is. we took a whole day to the see whole museum because it was that big.
but the travelling in Paris is kind of tough. you have to keep changing trains from Charles de Gaulle to Bir Hakim, etc.
we also went to a church which is very famous there known as the Basillica Du Sacre. a beautiful place.
but the most funniest thing I saw was that they had little cubicles on the street to go and have a leak. you had to put in money in a hole on the door, it would open automatically and you would go in. everything over there was so high tech.
on the day of my parents anniversary we went on a boat cruise and saw the replica of the Statue of Liberty (as everyone knows a French Sculptor had made two and given one to America). we saw the place where Napoleon was buried, etc. after that we went to Lido Theatre which is like what people must have seen in the movie Moulin Rougue.
it was for me the most wonderful holiday and the one that will be remembered forever. for my parents in was their second honeymoon.
so all in all a wonderful trip and a lifetime experience.
