Its mild fragrance is very mannish and refreshing. I like the fragrance very much and some time use it even after normal face wash. This is the perfect After Shave Lotion for those who like mild fragrance.

Its very bitter taste due to presence of Diethyl Phthalate may sometime upset your better half or someone special. Take care.

Let me share some information available to me due to my present association with Health Care / Personal Care Products and industries
Diethyl Phthalate (DEP) is used as Humectants. Humectants are skin moisturizers. Phthalates are added to skin care products because its oily texture gives the impression that the skin is soft and moisturized. In fact residue of Phthalates on the skin makes the skin feels soft and glowing. According to information available to me DEP is less hazardous than DBP (Dibutyl Phthalate).

Few problems that people face due to shaving –
Many people have Sensitive Skin. Skin is sensitive to touch even though there is no sign of any bump.
In case of Super sensitive Skin, some dark patches on the shaved area results in irritation.
Razor Burn is most common. In this case there is burning sensation after shaving and part of the shaved area may be very sensitive to the touch.
Ingrown hair bumps is very painful. Bumps can appear at few places on the entire face and may cause scare if not treated in time.
Remedial actions
Use good quality shaving cream and shaving brush to prepare particularly hard beard before shaving.
Shave gently with grain of your beard. Shave daily if you do not have very light beard growth. Always use a sharp and smooth instrument to shave.
Wash you face several time in day with plenty of fresh water preferably with mild soap.
In some cases normal after Shave Lotion may not be good enough. Use suitable medicated after shave lotion to get relief. If necessary consult a skin specialist / dermatologist.

My suggestions:-
Knowledge related to health hazard due to chemicals in cosmetics is very limited. Even specialists know very little about the side effects of chemicals. Lot of research is going on in this field but due to lack of evidence or lack of awareness and in absence of statutory rules harmful chemicals are widely used for cosmetics. Even chemicals like formaldehyde, DBP and solvents like toluene are still being used for Nail Polish.
Almost all cosmetics including after shave lotions contain some chemicals that may be harmful to you in the long run. I never use any brand for a very long time to avoid long exposure to certain chemicals. I think it is better to a take a long break of 9 months after 3 months of continuous use.
Use only very reputed brands of reputed companies and check the content. Use your search engine to know about the characteristics of the contents.
