Moving away from the sweetness I wanted to taste something salty. Now what better biscuits to try other than our very own desi Monaco. The trusted brand name in the Indian household for so many years.
Parle has establish itself as a leading brand name even before Brittania has made its foray in in the india market.
So when I took a bite into my monaco and was expecting a rush of saliva for the lovely crispy salty twang. I was surprised at the disappointment caused by the flat ’’left out in the sun for a week’’ taste and completely un-monaco.
What happened? Parle has cut down on the cheapest food flavour available in india - ’’SALT’’ why???
And they are now calling the product Classic Monaco. Come on give us a break
I distinctly remember the salt grains over the lovely monaco biscuits once upon a time.
Forget there being any finger licking taste left by the earlier Monaco. There is absolutely no taste left in the biscuits itself.
I can only figure out one thing now. You got to change your tastebuds more often and not get used to the good things in life ... sad isnt it
I have got used to the Nice biscuits which have now been coming with some granules of sugar which seem to have accidentally fallen on it.
I say NICE was really NICE during the Janta period.
Now I have to seek some Gandhian effort or a dandi march to get some salt on my monaco biscuits.
Else we would be serving Chinese Crackers in our china.
