The Partner by John Grisham is a fascinating novel about a clever , rather a very clever crook who steals ninety million dollars from his own firm. The story moves at a rapid pace, the author keeps the reader guessing about what the next course of action would be. The author’s hold over the American law is amazing, where subtleties are handled with extreme care. This is a compulsory read for all. Among contemporary writers, possibly Archer alone holds a better command over his readers. The only possible shortcoming of this fast moving novel is the ending where the story takes an unexpected twists. But long time readers should be able to read the author’s mind, but this can only be done with INTELLIGENT GUESSING. On the whole , a must read novel and by ratings say a 87/100.
