Poet’s history: Stanley Jasspon Kunitz was the man who has written this book "Passing Through". He was Robert Frost Medal and National Book Awards’s winner.He passed away on 14 th may2006, while he was 100 years old.This book was published in 1995 when Stanley was 90 years old.
Overview/About book: Passing Through, the later poems is nice collection of contemporary poems. His wonderful poems remind that’Are is the chalice into which we pour the wine of transcendence’.Though Passing through is a small book, it has vast meaningful poems., which touch your soul.In this book he mentioned that he was very lonelyand his loneliness shows in each poem.
But, to my view point, he was brave, extraordinary person because writing poems in the age of 90 is not an act of a common person.
