A few days ago I applied for renewal of my passport in this website. Whenever u are filling up the online Application Form, u have to be very careful. There are many details which are to be filled and take precaution when filling up. U can even save a part of the application form and complete it later. OnlinePayment system is there. U either can opt for it, or u can go for Bank Challan(for renewal u have to spend Rs. 1500/-). In case of challan, u have to put the specific number for reference in the website to get the Appointment. U can even select the convenient date and time of the appointment in this website. When all formalities are completed, U have to take a print out of the completed application form and be ready to visit the nearest PSK(Passport Seva Kendra) for the scheduled appointment.
I have done all these things by myself and already attended my appointment which was scheduled on 24th April, 2015(in Kolkata). This website is very helpful.
