Known as Jai Prakash Narayan International Airport the Patna airport is one of the worst airport in India. The whole building is very small and congested and becomes overcrowded at times.
The airport lacks modernisation and the security check takes a lot of time during rush hours. The airport is fairly clean but lags behind other airports in the country. The flight frequency is also not very high.
The commute to the airport is limited just by auto rickshaws or private vehicles. Also there is very much traffic faced while commuting to the airport. There is very less parking space. There are very limited eating points at the airport.
Finally I would say this airport needs a heck of a renovation. But if we believe the news, there is brand new airport being constructed near Bihta, on the Patna City outskirts. Hope for the best.
