Bangalore -Goa! Another tale of woe courtesy Paulo

Another account of of the horrible service by Paulo travel

The travels has a swanky web portal, so decided to make use of it and went through the entire process of selecting the sleeper berth and entered the account details and once the ticket was to be confirmed the network went putt, tried again and the system allowed me till a point I entered my credit card details they finally went down again. Two weeks later the red beacons started to show they charged me on my card for unbooked tickets.Do I have to even mention the story after that of getting a refund. but managed it finally after scores of emails and calls

Next, still brave, went to their race course road office in Bangalore. Bunch of guys sitting and sipping tea, don’t bother to ask what you want. Told them want two tickets to Goa. Guy nods his head and after a while hands me a hand written challan for two tickets, you won’t believe it he cut me two tickets for the current day’s bus. Then explained the dates and timings. First contact with the Paulo crew and they came by as uncaring and ruly

**Day before travel**: Go to the office to confirm the timings. My friends want to board the bus at madivala and I want to board it at Race course road. The guys there don’t know what time their very own bus arrives at the junctions, didn’t want to take a risk so took a long route and boarded the bus at Madivala

**Travel day**:

**Bus Condition**: Volvo AC sleeper. As you enter either side of the aisle you have around 5-6 seats above that is the sleeper berth, further the sleeper berths. Lower and upper births.

Then confusion broke. No seat numbers, no berth numbers. asked the cleaner where the seats were and he mumbled something. Uncaring again.

No ladder or foothold to climb to upper berth.

2+2 sleeper. So only one person can stand in the aisle.

Musty beds. No lights in the berth or seats. you don’t know what you sitting or sleeping on

One fat cockroach got the ladies screaming. So you got some wildlife to deal with.

bed bugs for sure, five minutes on the berth and I was itching

No covers provided, you need to buy it for Rs 70/-

**Journey**: Doesn’t feel like a Volvo bus. loud rattling and slow.

Reached goa at 12:30 the next day. 2 hours late

**Overall**: You can give it a miss definitely, anyways after traveling for close to 15 hours your day is wasted and you are sloshed and giddy even before hitting the sands. Give it a miss. It’s not even an adventure even if you dare to take it
