This movie is for the retards, by the retards and of the retards. The movie deserves the entertainment tax to be waived off. since there is no entertainment here. The movie is horror genre , coz the sense of humor here is horrifying.
Shreyas has vainly appropriated to himself the role of the much wooed man by lovely courtesans , conspicuous by thier utter incongruity with him in the looks department, especially of thailand fame. here the lovely celina jaitly serenades him, even though he is mostly overdressed as a potentially pregnant , much married lady.
Chunky and lispy pandey has misperfected the role of the speech impaired, moronic , pseudo crime boss from his ’Ek’ days , and here he thrusts himself in your face to a point of yucky disgust.
The plot hardly budges, unless nudged forward by the fast forward button. whenever the director is found wanting of flights of imagination or bursts of creative energy, he inserts a convenient song and dance sequence, or a series of two- way -one- liners between two imbeciles, or a tom and jerry like fight scene. the script it seems, was written on the spot by a wannabe writer, between bouts of drunken orgies or hungover misery. the script follows the actors and situations, rather than any any orderly procession of cognitive ideas.
The movie is quite watchable, with a well oiled remote, a rather benevolent disposition towards mediocre art forms, a saintly and forgiving attitude towards irritating cinema and a drugged suspension of disbelief.
The saving grace is johnny lever who innovates to save the movie from its director and scriptwriter. his wife plays upon her gujrati version of english, and comes out with gems like mango man ( aam admi).. The story is about four care free friends in thailand , out of jobs, looking for an apartment on rent. their search takes them to johnny levers house who has one condition - ony married couples allowed. the foursome winsome choose the simple option of converting two of themselves into ladies and pretending to be couples.
The villain is chunky who wants his brother johnny to sell the family restaurant. soon the goons enter the scene and mayhem follows. the foursome exonerate themselves by helping out the trusting and golden hearted johnny. The coup de etat is a parody of nearly every tv serial one can recall with disgust. times are a changing - it’s bolywoods turn to emulate the idiot box now, showing an utter bankruptcy of ideas and symptoms of an intellectually challenged industry.
