The PayTM POS system would need the merchant to have the app installed on their phone and a working internet connection. The app will let the merchant accept payments via credit or debit cards. That way, you will not need to load money into your E-Wallets. Thus you will not be tied to your E-Wallets. Wherever PayTM is accepted, you can use your credit or debit card to make payment.

- The merchant is registered with PayTM as a seller and has the app installed on the smartphone.
- As soon as you complete the purchase, the details are entered on the app, and a bill is generated.
- The phone is handed over to you.
- You now need to enter your card number, Expiry date and CVV number.
- You will receive an OTP on your phone as you would normally do when you perform a PayTM transaction. You need to enter it on the seller’s phone
- The transaction gets completed and the amount is transferred to seller’s PayTM account.
