PCQuest is way way better than the rest of the magzines in its class in India.
<1>It has a selected topic each month which is
covered in deep detail from all peoples aspect. The technical details, the costs, the contacts.
2I find more professional material in the magzine each month. Unlike chip which I did like until their last ed quit. Since then they have gone down in good reading articles. Its majority of pages it taken up by the Product Reviews. Which I often find very biased. Anyway this isnt Chip/Digit Beating but what PCQuest lacks in Mag Design and CD Design and looks it more than makes up in COntent. AND CONTENT IS KING
3 The CD has a little bit for Linux and Mac users as well.
3 For a power-user/ budding profesional the CD has a lot of Networking Tools.Web Servers. And I so much prefer their HTML coded layout.
4 You can try out DeveloperIQ and .NET if you are into coding of serious coding. If its just small tidbits of softwares and screensavers, games etc is what you are looking at youll like CHIP mag. PCQuest is for the more experienced professional lot.
The downside
I can never find the REQUEST a SOFTWARE link on pcquests website. Thumbsup to CHIP for this.
I comes with just one cd. Even though it covers up a lot, id rather have 2 for the same price.
