Used for generations

I first tried Pears soap when I was in my twenties. I had always had trouble with soaps and detergents (as a child) being allergic to most of them. I was told it was the perfumes that were added to the products, more so than, the soap itself. The 60’s and 70’s was when many companies brought out new and improved ’’scented’’ items, which didn’t help my situation.

The Pears Soap Company differed, in that it offered a product, made of all natural ingredients. 100% pure, made from glycerin, natural oils, rosemary, cedar and thyme. Most soaps with a transparent base use animal fat, Pears soap has none, which has to be a bonus, when it comes to the particularly oily or sensitive skin.

I found it to be a little more costly in comparison to average household soap products but the fact it lasts longer balances out the price. I felt this soap left my skin feeling refreshed, not dry and tight like some soaps. Few soaps are good for the face in general. Many people will only use cleansers and moisturizers. I thing Pears soap can be used to wash the face with a moisturizer following the cleansing.

The bar of soap is long lasting and a bonus to most people is the fact it’s not tested on animals. There is a gentle fragrance to the soap but nothing over-powering, in the sense of perfume. Pears soap can be used by the entire family, even those with allergies like myself. Surprising enough I have a reaction to Ivory soap and yet it’s considered to be 99.9% pure. I was always told grass is natural and yet people are allergic to it so, with that in mind, not all will tolerate using this product either.

I grew up in a family with 6 brothers and the soap used was a manly strong deodorant soap, not a pleasant feel or smell for women, yet Pears soap can be used by both men and women with satisfaction. As far as my children (family) goes, my daughter also has very sensitive skin and must watch which cleansing products she uses. She is still using Pears soap, today. My son had severe asthma as a child and I was told not to use perfumed soaps, Pears soap worked fine for him as well and did not have a strong smell to irritate his breathing.

History behind the soap:

The Pears Soap Company
was created/developed by Andrew Pear in England in 1789 (I was surprised how old this company was). Although back then his motive was to cater to the affluent, he later developed and refined his method of natural based soaps. Pears soap is now purchased by the average household, today.

So go ahead, purchase Pears soap for the entire family, I fully recommend this product.
