Old favorite changed and debased!

Changes in Pears Transparent Soap?

I have used Pears since 1968; there has been a change in formula in the pastfew years!

Usually, I buy a package of twelve. I have used eight of the last dozen. In a bathroom chest I found a bar of the earlier formula: different feel, different scent, and (I believe) a different makeup.

old: Sodium Palmitate, Natural Rosin, Glycerine, Water, Sodium Cocoate, Rosemary Extract,

Thyme extract. Pears Fragrance essence.

vs

new: Sorbitol, Aqua, Palmate/sterate, Sodium Palmkemelate, Sodium Posinate, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, PEG 4, Alcohol, Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Meta Bisulfite, Etirdronic acid, tetra SodiumEDTA, BHT, CL12490, Cl 47005, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicyclate, Cinnamal, Eugenol, Limonene, Linalcol.................

Whatever the truth is, the Old Pears is 100% better than the new. I shall purchase no more Pears after this batch is used. It is too expensive to toss away. I shall miss the clean and clear scent of one of my favorite soaps ever.

Why the change?

It is no longer mfg’ed in England?

Very disappointing.
